Our schools are getting ready for you and your child!
Kindergarten registration begins at all 51³Ô¹ÏÍø early years schools on Monday, March 3, 2025. If your child is five years old on or before December 31, they're eligible to be registered for kindergarten for the 2025–26 school year.
However, you needn’t line up early that day to secure a spot. Your child is assured placement in their catchment-area school. So, while we encourage you to register at your earliest opportunity, please do so at a time that’s convenient for your family.
Registration packages will soon be available at all early years schools and on their websites at Documents & Forms > Registration. If you’re uncertain which 51³Ô¹ÏÍø school is your child's designated school, use our web-based .
When registering your child for kindergarten in 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, you’ll need to provide proof-of-age documentation for your child, such as a birth certificate, baptismal certificate, passport, Manitoba Health Card, INAC status card, or birth registration signed by the director of Vital Statistics. You’ll also need to bring two pieces of identification that show proof of residency, such as your driver’s licence, Manitoba Health Card, tenancy agreement, offer to purchase documents, or a utility bill.
